Posted by KASHIF LARI

I have seen this tires balancing method in one of the RC Mag… unsure which one. Probably in RCCA or in RC-car.. but it look the same. Here some of the details done by RcModz.. thanks there mate. ;)

Bow Tie MTR on the prop!

Let me quote some of the balancing act done by RCmodZ:

This is a very simple process indeed; you need a model aircraft prop balancer, a 17mm Hex and Nut, some Blue tack & Fuel Tube. You could use some 1/10 scale stick on touring car weights for a more accurate reading but Blue tack works just fine. I weighed each piece after balancing and rounded up when needed for this review.

It does make a difference.

We pay lots of attention to many things on a car when racing at high level, engine, clutch, drive chain, bearings; and so on… we pay almost no attention to the wheels themselves. I’ve always noticed this with tyres and that’s one of the reasons I like GRP’s so much, but with Proline’s new array of treads it’s hard to stick to 1 brand. I’m glad I’ve done this myself because I believe it’s a very easy way to help balance your car and a balanced car driven well will be a fast car!

Acura XUV Concept Teasers Drop Pre-NY Auto Show

Scheduled to officially debut at the 2009 New York Auto Show in April, Acura’s new crossover concept vehicle gave us the digital equivalent of a cheap lap dance today with its appearance in 5 new teaser photos. Profiled in shadows (or, as we like to say, “the sober man’s beer goggles”), the only clear image we’re able to glean is that of the concept’s profile which, oddly enough, appears to be a little reminiscent of the 370Z. Since Acura’s press department is sitting on the official release for now, we aren’t able to confirm anything else about the new concept aside from the fact that it will be a 4-door, coupe-inspired XUV most likely intended to compete with the BMW X6.
